We visited a few IDs before we decided to work with Sam on our house renovation. Sam was recommended by an ex-colleague who assured me that the service and workmanship were something that I do not have to worry about. After settling the quotation, Sam provided the 3D drawings within a week. After a discussion on the designs and selection of laminates, he provided the revised drawings within a week and we were ready to start our renovation the following week. He coordinated with the electrician and followed strictly to the date and time we needed to start renovation without the presence of my husband and I. He helped us choose lights, curtains and sofa colour and provided suggestions on any big or small things that we asked him. Even after we paid him in full, he still arranged the carpenter and painter to help on the very minor touch-ups of the paint and fixtures he built. My husband and I have no complaints or regrets engaging him because he nabbed the look and feel we want and made the whole renovation process a fuss-free one. We would highly recommend our friends to use Sam if they are looking for IDs. Many thumbs up for his great service and dedication to get our dream house ready!

It has been a pleasure working with our interior designer from The Mind Design. My wife and I had wanted a Victorian-theme for our new residence. Despite Victorian-style design not being her forte, she accepted our assignment and worked with us in designing the dream home that we wanted. Was recommended by a good friend to use The Mind Design as our ID.. Compared a few quotes and found his very competitive. They were also very responsive and fast. The Mind Design ID service, design and carpentry workmanship is splendid! The interior designer from The Mind Design is very attentive and understanding to our need. She is an excellent designer as she can integrate creativity with functionality. We are very impressed with the home design. Besides designing work, she also the project manager for the renovation. She followed through the whole process from carpentry materials, lights, wallpaper selection to construction so as to ensure that the completed reno is exactly the same as what she had drawn. Credit have to be given to the carpentry team and electrician too. Their workmanship is excellent and are always ready to offer additional services at no additional charge. We have done our research and met several IDs before deciding to engage The Mind Design. Have seen many of their creations on numerous Reno websites and were very impressed. Keeping in mind that we will be working closely with the ID during the Reno process thus we prefer someone whom we feel comfortable with. The Mind Design is the one! They are able to provide good suggestions according to our specifications and listens to our ideas & concern. I chance upon The Mind Design when I was looking for Interior Designer. I needed someone who can give me the refreshing ideas with good theme, good design taste and clever spatial planning. My husband colleague has previously engaged The Mind Design so she recommended Sam to us based on her good experience working with him. Indeed, Sam was amazing and my husband and I actually went back to him again for our second renovation when we shifted to another place. Sam is a brilliant designer; he would listen to us and shared with us his ideas. The piping in my master bedroom’s bathroom looked quite unpleasant so I actually voiced it out to Sam. It was more of just a comment but Sam really took all our feedback into consideration and would try to improvise on them. We were really impressed by how he took an initiative to conceal the piping, making it look much better after that. For any defects, he would not delay nor pull a long face to get them fixed. His working relationship with his carpenters are fantastic and all the parties involved in the renovation were very reliable. Some designers tend to make empty promises but Sam is not the kind who would simply paint a beautiful picture for the homeowners from the start. He is realistic about the timeline and expectations and would explain to us reasons why he thinks some of the things might not work for our home. We fully recommend The Mind Design to anyone who is looking for interior designers!

I am pleased to write this review for The Mind Design. I happened to find out about her in one of the TV episode “Project Dream Home” that she participated in. Needing a renovation for my investment property, I called and they agreed to renovate the unit within our specified budget. Little did I realize how that request would become. After working with them on this simple project, I felt very comfortable with their professionalism and confident in their abilities. I have subsequently used their services on my own primary residence. Our request was to have plenty of storage without sacrificing the beauty and without the heavy look that usually accompany design with plenty of storage. They handled the job extremely well, arranging contractors, overseeing all of the work and selecting all of the colour for the wallpaper, curtain and sofa. They are very effective mixture of mirrors and natural stone has dramatically capture the beauty of our surrounding, making it seem as if we are living in the out-of-doors and extending that feeling of openness throughout the whole living room. The hours that she spent going through the many different aspects of the renovation further earned my respect. They have a keen insight that allows them to see a solution to a problem quickly and efficiently. I am pleased with the calibre of the work and the fact that they can watch the bottom line. The job was completed on time AND on budget AND the striking appearance of the interior of our home has been apparent to anyone who enters the front door. You can’t ask for more than that. I have no reservation whatsoever in recommending The Mind Design to anyone with a home that needs work. With The Mind Design, you will receive excellent service, quality craftsmanship and value for your investment.

If we were to do an expectation vs reality meme, we would definitely say that our reality way surpasses our expectation because The Mind Design went above and beyond what was required. We hired designer from The Mind Design as our interior designer but we found a friend in him instead.
When we first met him, we clicked almost instantly because he was the only designer who can envision clearly what we wanted and he was very straightforward and forthcoming. He wasn’t pushy nor did he try to force us into signing up with the company just because of his sales quota but he was very interested to design our home as industrial design is his forte. We also felt his sincerity in bringing our dream home to life.
From the very first day we signed up with him, he took really good care of us in terms of managing our budget. He also showed great ownership towards our house and treated it as though it was his. We were busy preparing for our wedding then, and he was a great help so that we didn’t even have to worry about our house at all. He went with us to all our shopping trips (kitchen, toilet, bedroom, living room stuffs) just to make sure that all the accessories matches the theme of the house.
We now sit here comfortably in our beautiful home (which received TONS of compliments from family and friends), thankful that we met someone as sincere as him. And the best part is, despite The Mind Design being a new company, we feel that their quality of work, product and professionalism are so much better to that of other so-called ‘renowned’ companies. The Mind Design is the designer to go to if you want your dream home a reality. He’ll make the magic happen

We've worked with The Mind Design for renovation works and are very pleased with his services. They share with us, practical ideas and designs and does not charge exorbitant prices. Their quotation is very reasonable and does not recommend unnecessary works. When there were some defects found after renovation, we called them and they're very responsive. They are very prompt in coordinating rectification works. After sales service is so important and they provide that. Overall we're very satisfied with Mind Design.

Below are some commitment or so call Service which I salute to them. 4/1/2017 1pm call up Sam to fix on first appointment. 4pm first meet up at our house. 5/1/2017 10am visit showroom with all quotation ready and sample present by Mr Sam. 12pm sign agreement with commence date written to start immediately and completion deadline before new year eve which fall 26/1/2017. 6pm Sam what Apps on meeting agenda for next day. 6/1/2017 10am Mr sam reach our house to have a brief of what will he do later with all his man and seeking us for any changes which we need. 1030am His hacking team came dismantle all debris with proper protection throughout in our living room. Safety or precaution briefing was been given from Mr sam to this team. 11am Mr Sam rode with me and my Wife to select tile at his supplier and throughout advice was given from him on anti slip , future Maintenece and Color matching. 12pm mr sam brought us to Teka kitchen at UE Sq 230pm reach home for for meeting with his electrician and carpentry and final advice was given to his team on completion before this new year. THE End Overall what we can say is this team is incredible.throughout I don t hear or see any nasty argument on why given short notice or madness owner for rushing this small renno job at this period. Well trust me NOT All are willing to sign with you at this moment and especially such small project. Jihan worked with us closely throughout the entire renovation from taking measurements, choosing of colors, right down to deciding where to put our framed pictures. She did an awesome job overseeing the entire renovation process, even though we barely meet over the whole duration. There are not many loft specialist in SG but I they are definitely of the best because of their excellent design and quality. We are very satisfied with the interior design designed and delivered by The Mind Design. In particular, we want to give a shoutout to Sam, our ID. As the eminent loft specialist in Singapore, they bring with them their expertise which allows them to develop beautiful designs for the loft. Within 1 week, Sam had managed to produce a design which met our expectations. He was also quick to accommodate any last-minute changes to the design. Instead of the typical laissez-faire ID where the ID simply designs and then outsources the work to subcontractors with no supervision, we were pleasantly surprised to see that Sam took the initiative to come down and inspect the work done by the subcontractors. Sam would frequently update us on the progress of the loft with photos. Also, we appreciated the attention to detail that he paid towards the work. The price was very reasonable as well. The process of building a loft is incredibly laborious due to the approval processes and design elements required for a tall structure. That being said, choosing The Mind Design was the correct choice since their prior expertise made the process quick and easy, even in the time of COVID-19. Despite the small budget (S$10K) to work with, The Mind Design was very patience and detailed in explaining options that fit my lifestyle needs. They are not pushy at sales, only recommends the essentials and provided a quote within a few days. This is in stark contrast to some ID firms that don’t bother to quote after knowing the budget. I am thankful they are willing to help despite the busy schedule working on many high value projects. From signing the contract till handover of the project, they had been very responsive in replying to queries even after office hours and on weekends! Been to many ID companies over a year but didn't feel the IDs understood my needs, until I met The Mind Design. They took time to understand what I had in mind (pun unintended), the colour scheme and together with the furniture I have bought earlier, they drew up a proposal that impressed me. We met 2-3 times before we signed a contract, in which they did not rush me into committing. Renovation work, though we met some hiccups, was good. The Mind Design was prompt in updating me. Along the way, I made more changes to the original design and they was accommodating. Although I exceeded my initial budget, I'm delighted it turned out the way I wanted. Now that I have fully paid the house, I hope to purchase my 2nd home in 3 years' time. And for sure, I will look for The Mind Design again.

We met DiSheng when we walked into Mind Design and we were lucky to have him as our ID. We have a tight timeline to move in in less than 2 months from the get go. Prior to that we have many long meetings with DiSheng working through all the details. At the start, we had big challenges on positioning the staircase for the loft. Half way through when the renovation started, we had to change the design including hacking walls and ripping off existing cabinets by developer. Facing these challenges, DiSheng was calm and composed. He worked patiently, and tirelessly, together with us, to overcome each and every one of the challenges. He ensured that the contractors are working on the project complete on time. I was impressed by his no nonsense and yet courteous approach to the discussion during our first meeting and I knew straight away he is the man for the project. When drawing up the design, Sam had been a good listener, he incorporated all my requirements and provided creative solution to area confined by space or structural constraint. The final design was beyond my expectation and it reflected the effort, thoroughness and creativity Sam put into his work. Renovation work was carried out in the midst of the pandemic. In spite of manpower shortage and logistical problem in the industry the project was completed on time and the quality was beyond reproach.
